Guest guest Posted September 5, 2004 Report Share Posted September 5, 2004 Hello everyone, I was revewing the chats that I missed at the MDA site, ( wonder where Dr. korsons chat went ) anyway i was looking at Dr. ons and noticed that the last question asked about mito and Lupus. She said that she reveiwed the chats and noticed Lupus and Mito cropping up alot. I know that there are a number of people here with both. I have a article from Dr. Naviaux that says that Lupus, rheumatiod arthritis and MS are sometimes associated as secondary or causing Mito. If you go to the UMDF website and click on info center at the top of the page, then click on the area for healthcare professionals. go to mitochondrial and metabolic disorders, a primary physicians guide, click there then click on spectrum of mitochondrial disease by Dr. Naviaux...scroll down to page 3 table 2....sorry thats so long but there it states the lupus and mito connection..... I am also curious can we do a poll on this...on the links page? would that be alright Alice and Laurie...how many have a autoimmune disease , how diagnosed and perhaps what mito diagnosis to see if there is a patern. curious also how many have positive ANA's and what the ANA level was.. There are several there for the members to look at also so this is a good time for a new one with so many new members. I have contacted the MDA about Dr Korson's chat but this is still being edited for some reason. I don't really know what the problem is and that's sad because it was an excellent chat. Alice I am also curious can we do a poll on this...on the links page? would that be alright Alice and Laurie...how many have a autoimmune disease , how diagnosed and perhaps what mito diagnosis to see if there is a patern. curious also how many have positive ANA's and what the ANA level was..
