Ihave to say though these types of meds scare the hell out of me. Any suggestions/comments would be welcome. ---------------- There are a number of things you can do for self-help if you prefer not using the medications. Yoga and meditation are just two of them. Self hypnosis, biofeedback and diaphragmatic breathing are three others. There are also a number of acupressure points with specific application for anxiety and depression. I don't do yoga, self hypnosis or biofeedback myself, just recently started doing some of the diaphragmatic breathing and meditation excercises, and of course have a bit more than passing knowledge of acupressure points. There are others on the list who can give you some input on the first three. Let me know if you want more info on the acupressure or breathing aspects.
