silent auction

Hi all

I am going to lay this out now, so you can kick around the idea for a bit of

time. I am no longer able to take on the responsibility of the silent

auction at next years conference. I still feel it is of value and will

continue to make things for it, but someone else has to take it on.

and I have missed several sessions to keep it going and have ended up

extremely tired from setting up and taking down. Maybe someone here can

volenteer who will be going that has a spouse.

I guess it is time for one of the group to think about taking it on. Trying

to work, moderate the list (with lots of help), moderate the Monday night

MDA chats (again with lots of help) and doing the silent auction is just too

much. Whoever decides to do this, just let me know and I will pass along

what is involved.

Laurie, I think you and your family have gone above and beyond the

call of duty ! We all apreciate your efforts and I totally

understand you not being able to continue. I was amazed at all of

the work you put into creating the special items and that in and of

itself was a HUGE contribution. On that note, I'm not

volunteering...lol...but I do thank you for your hard work.

hugs,

I have to ditto this. It's a tremendous undertaking considering all the work

thru the year and then making sure everything is there and set up when it's not

close to home. I am not crafty and don't have the energy to do what Laurie,

and Christie have done. I know how tiring it is to man the table thru

the conference as I did it in Dallas. The group gets the recognition for the

silent auction but a huge thank you goes out to Laurie and her family for their

great contributions of time, talent and energy to make this successful.

and Laurie are dedicated to Mitoldies in so many ways. I don't know what

I would do without the moderators here and in case you don't know who moderates,

they are , Laurie, Kristie and Cindy and of course myself. Every one of

them make it so much easier for me and I don't want to miss this opportunity to

thank them.

The moderators of the MDA Chat give much more than this group knows. It means

that we work hard to find good guests and our Monday nights are dedicated to the

chat. A huge thank's to Laurie, Kristie and Cindy for always being there with

me and for me to make sure everything is orderly.

My thanks to all of you who have given so much. Laurie, and

Christie did a wonderful job with the silent auction. I brought home

some of their goodies from Pittsburgh and a blanket from Dallas. My

mother crocheted a lot and I always admired that type of work. Thanks

for all you have given.
