Guest guest
I think I recall reading somewhere on these posts recently about how people celebrate the holidays.... My family has a rather unique way of celebrating. First of all, since my household is primarily Pagan we celebrate Winter Solstice on December 21st. For those unfamiliar with this holiday, it is the shortest day of the year and a time when the sun starts to stay out a little longer every day. So this Sabbat is a celebration of the suns return. We have a family ritual and of course we have out tree and lights. We exchange family gifts as well and have a family meal. On Christmas eve my husbands parents have open house for family and friends to come and celebrate the holiday. This day is also our wedding anniversary and it will be 15 yrs this yr. We usually let our daughter open up one chosen gift as well. Christmas day is usually pretty relaxed with stockings and remaining gifts being opened, coffee and breakfast and a holiday meal with the inlaws. So Christmas week for us is a fairly busy one but thankfully I dont have to work this year. I did last yr and missed out on alot of the things that we usually do. I'd love to hear what others do for the holidays, I think in the midst of all the chaos we have all been experiencing lately this would be a nice reflection.
