Guest guest
Hello, My middle girl just spent a week in the hospital for metabolic acidosis, now this week my oldes is in for bowel obstruction...we are doing the IV neostigmine which scares me to death..right before they administer it they bring the crash cart into hte room, then the head nouse, her nurse and the ped doc is there. It has to be given by a doctor and she has to be placed on heart monitors and a blood pressure maching that takes her pressures every 3 minutes for 1/2 hour. Last night she tolerated it alright, her BP dropped to 60/40 and her heart rate went to 46. she came back up though. There has got to be a better way...she will get another dose this morning so please cross fingers and pray it works...the more doses she gets the more the reaction.... thanks p.s. we have tried everything else we can think of...all OTC things, miralax, enemas, zelnorm, even milk and molasses enemas and drinks. they took away all dairly and juices and sodas.. Guest guest
Hi , I'm so sorry to read that you are again faced with another medical crisis with your children. I don't know anything more difficult than dealing with these situations over and over again. When our children are ill we suffer with them. Please know that I will be thinking of them both and hope that your daughter tolerates the medicine well and is back home again soon.
