Absolutely correct.

" Heartburn " is basically an incident of acid refulx. The

distinction is when they label it either as GERD or as Acid Reflux

Disease. Single or sporadic episodes may be unpleasant, but they are

not a problem. It becomes a problem when it turns into a chronic

situation with regular, repeating incidents. Over time, the acid

goes from just irritating the esophogeal lining to causing actual

damage.
