Guest guest
The next -- and ugliest -- hurdle now is she is scheduled for ankle replacement the week after Christmas. Pretty scary, huh? The surgery in and of itself is scary enough, but then we have to worry about the RSD not finding out about it! Tricky to just sneak around and perform a surgery that serious without waking the RSD Monster! The options without the replacement aren't too good. Possible amputation within a year. And that just ain't going to happen. And I'm not even going to try to address the congestive heart failure (due to RSD) and major surgery issue. I just can't go there. Of course we appreciate any thoughts and prayers that things will go okay. Best wishes to all for the holiday season. (aka the Little Sis) , That is a lot for any person to deal with, I am not an old timer yet so I am not sure if we ever have "spoken" but that doesn't mean my prayers won't be worth anything.. I am sorry that your sister has to deal with so many issues at once. That is good that they've gotten the HCV to be undetectable. May I ask what has happened to her ankle that she needs it to be replaced? I am also going to pray that you both be blessed this Holiday season, and that you will be able to have a wonderful Christmas, even with next week looming before you. I have seen the Lord do some amazing things in peoples lives. I too am a little sister, one night we got a call from a friend of my sister who had called her and he couldn't understand anything she said so he went over to her place and broke in and, found my sister in what we thought was a drunken stupor. The paramedics came and told us that she just needs to sleep it off, they didn't check her blood pressure or even her temperature, someone and we know who, was shouting for me to get her to the hospital. The paramedics did help us put her into the car. Things changed when we got to the ER and they took her temperature, her body core temp was 94 degrees. The nurse took it 3 times, left the room and you all know what broke loose, she had acute Pancreatitus. To make a 3 week battle for survival shorter she did survive is a very active member of AA and she remarried to another AA member and is doing well, sometimes I can tell that her brain doesn't send out the correct information. They told us that she was the worse case that they had ever seen live. When she came out they didn't know how much brain damage there was or if she could ever live by herself. So I do believe in Miracles, if her friend hadn't tried to call her, or if he didn't want to get involved then my sister would have been dead by morning and who knows how long before someone found her. I must admit that I was very angry about her drinking and lying to me about it. She said she had quit the first job she lost. Anyway the point I am trying to make is that us little sisters have powerful prayers, so I am going to be praying for your big sister to go through this without any of the multiple complications she could have. take care from 1 little sister to another, Lin No virus found in this outgoing message.
