R. Bach, M.D.

Dr. Bach received his medical degree from the College of Medicine and Dentistry

of New Jersey in 1976, and completed his residency training in Physical Medicine

and Rehabilitation at New York University in 1980. He is a fellow of the

Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American College of Chest Physicians

and a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Since 1983, Dr. Bach has been on the faculty of the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical

School where he currently is Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation;

Vice Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and

Professor of Neurosciences in the Department of Neurosciences. At University

Hospital, Newark, N.J., Dr. Bach is Director of Research and Associate Medical

Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Medical

Director of the Center for Ventilator Management Alternatives. He is also

Co-director of the medical school's Jerry MDA neuromuscular clinic. More
