Guest guest
Well, I made it. No problems! I did get pretty uncomfortable for the last 1/2 hour or so. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there. But, I made it, and that's just great. We stayed at my brother's little, beautifully decorated condo at Birtch Bay. The border was no big deal. No traffic going into Canada, and they just wanted to know what we were gonna do. On the way home, we had to wait only about 15 minutes in line, and show our id's, tell what we bought, and we were on our way. No big deal at all! We went up to Vancouver for a day. I didn't know it was such a HUGE, comsopolitan city! It's just beautiful! After visiting a Buddist temple, eating a wonderful Chinese lunch, we headed into the city for some shopping. I did pretty good, surprisingly! Didn't start really hurting bad until the middle of the night. Now, 's knees, calfs and shins are hurting too. But, it was well worth it. I'm hurting, but I would anyway. So, it's the first " trip " I've taken in a while - and without my hubby to drive. So, now I know I don't have to always just avoid doing things. As long as I don't spend too many days, and sit down when I need to. I do think a scooter is in my future, though. I probably couldn't have handled it in that mass of people in the city, but I do know that I'd probably be feeling a lot better today if I had one. Anyway, I know I'll be going back up there. We didn't get much Time in Vancouver, and didn't visit the more " quaint " places. Just trodded through the high street. It did remind me a bit of England, and we got some of the English goddies that we miss. Just forgot to look for those Heinze beans! I can get them here, if I go up to Redmond. But, they cost almost $2.00 a can. We love our beans on toast! But, it has to be heinz beans! I'm sure the folks here from Europe know what I'm talking about!!! hehe Hugs,
