Guest guest
Hi Mike, Thankyou for all the useful information. Yes I've been taking glucosamine chondroitin for about 6 months now. It onle seems to help the severe stiffness in my lower spine.I have severe bilateral facet arthritis there, scoliosis, spinals stenosis, s/p bilateral lumbar laminotimies L4-L5,L5-S1.The ruptures of the tendons in my shoulders were all trivial things as well as the torn meniscus's in my knees. My bed seems to be my worst enemy. Turning over and putting my left arm up under the pillow tore the labrium a year ago. Pulling the covers up ruptured my left bicep tendon which I'm having repaired next week, it been six months and hasn't healed yet. I tore my left knee three times, once just walking up and down the steet, once squatting down to set a rat trap, once trying to sit down on the commode. Right one turning over in bed and getting my leg trapped and twisted in the covers. My right shoulder tore in PT while trying to rehab the laft one. It's just a real viscious circle. Nothing heals before something else tears, My Ortho Dr. can't keep up. So this is why they sent me to NIH for EDS testing. My Uncle has it.I wear a brace on my left knee now, walk with a cane even though hard on the shoulders. I see the Ortho Dr. on the 14th for the new knee MRI results, I had them faxed to me, he hasn't seen them yet. Then shoulder surgery the next day . Sometimes ya just don't know where to start. My knees have hyperextended all my life, but I never had any trouble brewing until 3 years ago. I have blue sclera too! So do you think I have EDS? Thanks! Sincerely, S.
