Guest guest
Way to GO! We had a wonderful time with out neighborhood trick or treaters. As you did we got rid of all of our candy...the bad part I have 3 kids who now have candy...LOL Thankfully I'm over the candy thingÜ Now all we have to do is start looking forward to Thanksgiving! ~S
Guest guest
I'm going to get through Thanksgiving by eating a lot of brisket and/or turkey. Maybe some green beans or broccoli depending on what my brother has. I've never been big into pies and sweets, just eating a hell of a lot of food that was good for me (which isn't good for me in such quantity). The surgery has been a pretty good fix for that problem. I may have to watch out for gravy though. I do like that stuff. Not to where I'm worried just to where I'm not really clued in to how bad it is and how I might not think it's so bad. Good luck on the holidays. I'd be interested in some recipes and trials/tribulation stories. I'll let you know the crap I have to go through down in Texas too. I'm not looking forward to the hotel's complimentary breakfast all week. > > Way to go, Mike! Guest guest
Great Job Mike! That's a positive way to handle it and show yourself how strong you can be and happy in your own skin. I've never been a candy person except for once a month, but I know how hard it is to deal with those little treats that seem so easy to get to. 1st Halloween Down....... Well I decided that I cant run from days like Halloween for the rest of my life after surgery..... I went to store today and bought five big bags of candy....I sat out in the garage tonight and passed out most of the candy to all the kids trick or treating......When it was late and didnt look like anymore kids were going to be around.....I went next door and gave the rest of my bowl of candy to the two kids that live there.... I never even started to have a piece! Nota one! I did not hide inside......I will not have a problem with the holidays now, I know I can sit there with a huge bowl of candy all night and not eat anything! Mike T We are a very active support group.
