Guest guest
, Did your doctor recommend the CoQ? If not - please stop taking it immediately and I would consult with your doctor about this reaction. Not everyone can take CoQ just like other meds and supplements. I have a similar reaction to Niacin and people look at me like I'm crazy when I say that but I do and have had to go to the hospital for shots in the past because the reaction was so bad. If I get straight niacin, my skin turns purple and draws up so that I can't move my hands and it hurts to smile because the skin is so tight. Alice I have two question on COQ10. Guest guest
, I would stop the CoQ10 and ask your doctor about it. Not everyone can take CoQ10. I have problems with that and Carnitor. They seem to make me worse. I would check with your doctor before you take any more. Smiles, a I have two question on COQ10. Guest guest
RH brought up NADH. I have not tried this but I am taking NT Factor which was not recommended by any physician but introduced to me thru a private message to me as listowner of Mitoldies. I have been on it 4 weeks now and the results are amazing. I have found that I have more energy and endurance than I have had in a very long time. You all know how sick I was and when I received the owner message about NT Factor, I was very skeptical but out of desperation, I decided to try it. I can't even begin to tell you what a difference it has made for me. I have told others, including family members about this product and they have tried it. Out of 7 people who are now taking it, 5 are all sharing my very surprising results. One of the two who didn't share my results had an increase of Mito symptoms and the other had a problem with heart racing. This just goes to show how we are so different and what one of us can take can work wonders while others have a totally different reaction. I cannot take the CoQ made by Tischon. If it ever gets approved as a drug, I still won't be able to take it. I can't take straight Niacin. It's a very serious problem for me. But I can sure take NT Factor and I intend to continue to do so, even without the doctor's approval. It has made my life much easier to live, given me the ability to cope with what I cannot change and has me out of the recliner and up and about doing things I haven't been able to do for months. Today, I cut shrubs, cleared them and bagged the results of my work to go to the dump. I can't believe I could do this in 90 degree heat but I did, came in and drank water and then came to the computer which is something else I had just about given up. This is not an advertisement for the product. I just felt I needed to share this with the group since we are on the subject of different methods of combating the effects of the disease so that life is more livable. There is no cure so finding something that helps is about all we can do. I am not recommending that anyone else do what I have done. It really isn't a good idea to take something without the doctor's recommendation but for me, I'd gone months to so many appointments and nothing they recommended was helping. Suddenly, after taking a chance, this is making a huge difference in my life and some others that I know and the change is noticeable within 48 hours. Guest guest
Alice, I've had wierd reactions like that, too. Yeah, it lowered my blood pressure, but it increased my flushing, etc. I was never sure if it was the Co-Q10 or just me. If you have allergies, you have to be careful, since many formulations use soy oil. As for autoimmune disease, there was one study that showed an activation of white blood cells with Co-Q10. IT wasn't conclusive, and no corroborative studies were done. There is more info on it at the Q-Gel site. Thanks, Mike > Alice, > my doc did reccommend the COQ10..he said to try it and see how I react.. > he said to try one dose and see...I saw...think I wont do that again. > I am so sensitive to drugs its pathetic..one dose is all it takes usually. > > > >
Guest guest
That's great to hear it is working for you. It seems relatively safe based on the website info. It doesn't look like NT Factor and NADH are related, I may be looking into NT Factor then. I am doing well being in ketosis from an Atkins-like diet, more strength than I've had in years. Also lost 12 lbs... My question is, Alice, do you see all symptoms equally improved? I find being in ketosis helps my overall body strength, but doesn't help my vision symptoms too much. And my cognitive symptoms seem to be related to high ammonia, they come and go. But I don't notice other symptoms getting worse when some get better. Once again, as Alice says, I'm not a doctor, but these are my thoughts. Oh, and regarding NADH, I've tried other formulations and have to take the sublingual form. For methyl sulfonyl methane, which helps joint pain and arthritis for me (yet morphine doesn't work), I tried 4 different brands, and have to stick with one in particular.
