Guest guest
Has anyone else been to one of the Diabetes Expos this year? I went to the one in Denver yesterday. I didn't see any of the programs they said they would be having or where they would have them, but they might have just been something I didn't find. I wanted to see the one on neuropathy and the one on cooking Mexican food (although I suspect I wouldn't have been able to understand that since I don't know Spanish anymore and they do everything in Spanish around here nowadays). Mainly it was just booths to introduce people to products like the different meters. They did have some infrared light machines that are to treat the numbness and pain from neuropathy. Supposedly, from what one man said, they help repair the capillaries. I'd love to try one, but would have to go downtown and go through Dr. Carnegie for the large one, and that would just be for feet. I think I may also have the problem in one arm. The small one for people to buy and use at home is $500. They also had an energy drink with no carbs that they were giving samples of. They are using some sweetener that is supposed to be replacing Splenda now because they say Splenda has an aftertaste. Unfortunately, I think their drink had more of an aftertaste. There was also a booth from Sweet Leaf Stevia. I was just wondering what the other Expos are like if anyone has been to them.
