Guest guest
Not to stretch the point with my 10 page dissertation on how it is going for me, I have to tell you all that in California (not sure it is a state thing) IT IS A MESS but I am hopefully at the end of the road but it has been a long haul! Unlike those of you who got it thru on the first hit I did not. I am in the hearing stage (not scheduled yet) but I TOO SENT IN full documentation. I think it was about 8 inches worth! I have been in health care for over 20 years with the last 15 spent in the legal system of medical malpractice. I taught correct and complete documentation to my physician clients... In my defense, It was the most complete, chronological and detailed application ever submitted! LOL! The attorney and everyone who has looked at it cant believe that I have been sailing thru the process denial after denial. My new attorney said it is one simple thing..... " Debbi, it is your age. They look at my age and deny without opening the 8 inch file. " Well, that is bureaucracy for you!. I am not bummed out like some of you although I could be if I thought about it long enough. I have given it to God and that is that. I did all I can do, and my attorney is doing her best I believe. The rest is up to the courts with nudging from our loving Lord. I just wanted to share that with all of you who are down about this too. Frustration and worry will only make you sicker! Take a deep breath and do what they tell you adding all that you can to help your attorney understand your state, EDS and all that does to make you disabled ... cuz you are no matter what a piece of paper from the government says, you are and in the end, I pray it will be granted for you.
