Guest guest
Laurie, Thank you for your help. I don't think my doctor will be pleased that I am over-inflated since I don't have asthama. If Diffusion is the cross-over of oxygen into the blood stream than that would mean that I am not getting enough oxygen in my bloodstream, right? or is it that I am just not getting enough oxygen period? I go to the Cardiologist next month so I will see what he says. Thanks again Ann-Marie Pulmonary Function Tests Results/ Need Some Help Please > > Hi Everyone!! > > Hope you all had a wonderful and enjoyable 4th of July and were able to share > the day with good friends and family. > > I had a PFTdone awhile ago and got the results, but i am not sure what they > mean and thought maybe you guys could help me with the results. > I understand that you are not Doctors, just asking for your input and your > what you think. > > Okay here it goes: > > Spirometry--Spirometry is within NORMAL Predicted Limits. > > Lung Volumes- The Percent predicted TLC is 110%, FRC is 116%, and RV is 125%. > *** This suggests Pulmonary OVERINFLATION. > What is Pulmonary Overinflation? Guest guest
Ann-Marie My son didn't get the over-inflation from the asthma, but from the exercised. In his case it was good, as he also had strength with it. The diffusion could be either I think. I'm glad you see the cardiologist and that you will ask him. The circulatory and pulmonary systems are very intertwined. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Fri, 9 Jul 2004 18:33:22 -0400 > To: > > Subject: Re: Pulmonary Function Tests Results/ Need Some HelpPlease > > Laurie, > > Thank you for your help.
