Guest guest
Im sure you remember I had spinal surgery recently. While in hospital i was having alot of chest pain. ( I get arythmia once in awhile especially when tired ) anyway they ordered a chest XRAY and ECG. the chest Xray report says. There is prominence of the upper lobe pulmonary vessels may represent pulmonary venous hypertension.. The ECG says : abnormal ECG, cannot rule out anterior infarct. under impression it also says prolonged QT. any idea what any of this means? Thanks
Guest guest
-Dear , I can only answer about the prolonged QT, as I have this intermittantly also. It just refers to a specific portion of the ecg (it has QRST waves in each segment I think) and if the Q-T interval is longer than usual if might make you vulnerable to certain other dysrhythmic conditions such as tornedos de pointes. If you have it, you are advised to stay away from a group of drugs- you can lookthis rather lengthy list up on the internet. I know it includes propulsid, erythromicin, that are used for gi dysmotility) Celia -- In , Mrsmurffy@a... wrote: > Im sure you remember I had spinal surgery recently. Guest guest
This means you should probably check with a cardiologist if you don't have one. Anterior infarct means damage to the front of the heart, but is does say cannot rule our, so don't jump to conclusions. Please have it checked out. Guest guest
Donna Aspergers is part of the Autism Spectra. There are many mito folks who have some form of autism. It is not known how many with autism have mito, because as Dr. Shoffner said when I asked, " we don't do muscle biopsies on someone with autism). Many of the children are diagnosed with autism before any thought is given to autism. My son could probably be diagnosed with Aspergers, but as an adult, he has learned to fuction well within the general population. I work with several students with aspergers and it can look like other things such as ADD or OCD. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 8 Jul 2004 14:55:42 -0400 > To: > > Subject: Re: : abnormal heart exam ? > > I have a question I am not sure if anyone knows the answer.
