Guest guest Posted June 29, 2004 Report Share Posted June 29, 2004 On some TV interview I saw several years ago, Mattie and his Mom were sitting in their wheelchairs, side by side. Mattie's Mom was asked about the other children and how hard their deaths had to have been and did SHE have someone to lean on, she said she had many close friends who had helped...nothing mentioned about the childrens' father. Mattie was then asked about his Dad and in a split second said, it's just us and when you have someone like my Mom you don't need anyone else! That just summed it all up...
