Guest guest
Maggie, Thanks for your input. Glad you have found a med that helps a little and hope your massage therapist works out well for you. Thank also for your input about Physical Therapy and warm stretching and then icing. I've been under the care of an excellent chiropractor who specialises in Applied Kinesiology and I think his care in keeping me aligned and balanced has been crucial. My two experiences with acupunture were disasters, the most recent, (from a MD) was 16 weeks of horror that set me back about a year. I HAVE found some things that help a bit, but I just can't afford them on a regular basis and insurance won't cover them. Upledger cranial-sacral body work and Reiki (a form of energy balancing body work) have been VERY beneficial. Treatments are the only time I really get relief and it lasts a while. They can be VERY gentle modalities. If I won the lottery had have a treatment every day., heck, I'd have a LIVE IN therapist and get them twice a day! GENTLE reflexology has also been beneficial. I'm very much a " newbie " mito. Do you know, in cases where the pain isn't caused by high levels of lactate of pyruvate, if " they " know what causes the pain? Do you think it's just the muscles " screaming " because they don't have enough fuel, or are blocked metabloic wastes involved? Thanks and Best Wishes, Anita
