Guest guest
Just thought I would pass ths one form the other forum, in case somebody new had not heard enough about this: >For one, > becasue I can not seem to get my thyroid levels up enough to mke any > difference. Thyroid medication increases the clearance of cortisol. People with insufficient cortisol will feel worse if they take thyroid med without cortisol. > > I also feel like I am going to pas out when I stand up from a >sustained squat... That's an indication of low cortisol. >and lately, my waking/sleeping hours have been turning me into a > good partner for a vampire. People who are low in cortisol often wake at about 4 am. I think it has to do with the natural cortisol being at a very low point right then. > > But I am very, very heavy, and Andy's book says that low cortisol people > will be thin. I am heavy too because of all of the years of pain and fatigue and inactivity and because of the low thyroid function. When the cortisol gets really, really, really low the person will have nausea, dizziness, throwing up and then will lose lots of weight. I have talked to lots of people on the internet who are at that stage and who still can't get a diagnosis. > Do you thik it is posisble for a person to have low adrenal > function and still be heavy? Yes. The trick with replacement cortisol is to use a very low dose. Some people can start to lose weight because the fatigue is gone and they can be more active. > =======================================================
Guest guest
This sounds like me. My clock is right near my bed so whenever I wake up early I look at it. I think one morning I got up at 3:33am. I usually am able to go back to sleep though. In my case it could be a lingering side effect of the head injury though. Related to the insomnia.
