RE: OT Home Invasions ( Some suggestions to protect ourselves)

Hello Everyone;

I had the opportunity to read the posting of OT Home Invasions, and

I wanted to see if I could add some suggestions and offer some

inexpensive solutions to safe guard ourselves and our homes at all

time.

1.) I found that there are inexpensive wireless CCTV (Closed Circuit

Video Observation Systems) that a person can install inside their

homes and have two weatherized cameras to monitor the front of the

house and two weatherized cameras to monitor the rear of your home

these systems comes with a monitor so you can see who is approaching

the house before you open the door, I would also suggest that you

purchase a second monitor for your bedroom in the event that you are

not on the first floor.

The systems come (camera's) come in Varifocal B/W Cameras or

Varifocal Color Cameras.

2.) My second suggestion would be to install an intercom system, so

the person that is at the door will be able to announce themselves

and this will give you added security in the event that you are not

expecting anyone or have to open the door to see who is there, just

an added feature to be utilized with a wide angle peephole.

In closing, I hope that the information is helpful and I will try to

pursue this area and the actual cost factor of the CCTV systems and

will relay the results of my search in the near future.
