BTW, careful attention to the Gates of Consciousness points on an at

least daily basis (usualy three-four times) has so far banished my

migraines...it's been a couple of weeks now, the longest headache-

free stretch I've had for about 18 months.

Thanks a lot Mark - I hope you get a really big chuckle about my

having to look them up to see which points you meant!

" Gates of Consciousness " is the name that traditional Chinese

medicine uses to refer to the Gall Bladder 20 points. These are the

two that are right at the base of the skull about an inch to an inch

and a half on either side of the spine. These are the two that I

personally use in combination with the two points right above the

center of the eyes in the forehead when I work on headaches. They

are also two of the points that I used to cure my own headaches.

In addition, they are two of the most powerful points in the body.

They are the ones I always use whenever I start a session on

anybody. I use them to get the person accustomed to my touch,

relaxed, and to help entrain myself with them before starting the

rest of the session. Other modalities don't refer to them

specifically as acupressure points, but they use them. This is one

of the cranial vault holds used in cranialsacral therapy, myofascial

release, reiki, and polarity.

Like I said, they are very powerful points.

Your doing them daily is important for a number of reasons, but I

think the biggest benefit for you is as a preventative. Please keep

me in the loop on how they are working for you longer term.

I am really pleased that this seems to be working for you. As info

for the rest of the list, how long do you generally hold the points

when you do them during the day?
