Guest guest
Hi Mike, I need to clarify that I (probably ) have PDCD (Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex Deficiency-a thiamine {vitamin B1} dependency disorder), NOT one of the more " common " varieties of mito......at least all my tests have been pointing in that direction for many years. The ketogenic diet is generally the diet used for treating PDCD. I've been on modified keto diet for about a year and it has been one of the few things that has REALLY worked for me. My most severe neuro-type symptoms (of 22 years) are probably 40 % better than a year ago, though pain has not improved a greart deal. Considering I just found out 3 weeks ago that PDCD is actually classified under the umbrella of mito disease and just started reading about mito diseases (besides PDCD) , I know just about nothing of the other types of mito diseases and I don't know how it would work for someone else. Best Wishes, Anita
