The only way that you will be able to get a Narcotic Pain Med refilled, orsomething to last you for a day or two, is if your doctor will write you aprescription for the med, or if the ER Doctor prescribes you some. BUT,shots are out of the question.

Hi Tonia,

I was just in the ER in November and was admitted with pneumonia. While in the ER I got Dilauded through my IV. Are you saying that the DEA wont let people have pain meds in the ER? Maybe I read it wrong and don't quite understand what you meant.

In another post you were talking about how some people are having problems with doctors and hospitals not taking Medicaid. Like you I have never had a problem. I have no copays and don't need referrals. The only thing I pay is prescriptions and even that I only pay a small percentage. I have Medicare too so maybe that is why. I really cant keep it all strait!!! I hate to see people suffer needlessly just because of greedy doctors who don't give a rats @$$!!!!! I hope you are having a great pain free day!! Take care, Love Jai
