My pregnancies (2) were very easy, as I had no morning sickness and was able

to do what I wanted (as dictated by any pregnancy). I was in labor for 73

hours with my first son before a C-section. The labor just wouldn't progress

and we now know it was due to the mito. Between the labor and the surgery (I

had a spinal and then they gave me a general as I was so exhausted) I really

noticed symptoms. With my second son, I had a C-section (just a spinal this

time) but lost a lot of blood as the placenta partially separated. I was

restricted because of blood loss (no stairs, etc.) but never got back to my

pre-pregnancy state. Of course taking care of a very symptomatic infant and

a 2 year old probably didn't help. Had I known that I had mito, I would have

gone the route of adoption. You are wise to be thinking ahead and discussing

this with your doctors.
