Guest guest
RH, thanks for the suggestion and concern. I am familiar with SI and I am planning on getting the book out of sync child from the parent resource center at school. I feel that myself and both of my kids have SI problems. As far as ZOLOFT goes without it she is suicidal and very miserable. The rest of the family can not deal with her and are miserable too. She becomes very violent and does alot of screaming. I am an OT and tried everything I could think of and consulted with others. Zoloft has been the only thing that has helped. She still has issues, but is better able to deal with them with adaptions. With the medicine she is a charming and delightful little girl with a lot of talent. She loves to be around people and they are very attracted to her. Without it she can hardly leave the house and ssays everyone hates her. I don't like her on the zoloft, but I don't know what other options we have? By the way she has a leading role in a musical that she is in this weekend. There are only six kids with leading roles...60 kids tried out for it. She loves to perform. Laurie...Ihear you about the finger nail thing. Ally would scream for hours after we cut her nails. She was able to cut them at an early age. As an infant she screamed after we changed her diaper. We finally figured out that we had to break them in for her. She did not like the feeling of a stiff new diaper. She potty trained herself before two, because she hated diapers and dressed herself very early. People often told me I had too much patience with her and should not let her get by wiht this behavior. They did not understand that she could not help it. I use to use a timer too.
Guest guest
When my daughter was younger and not yet on the mito cocktail, she would have behavior and attention issues that were difficult for both her teachers and family to deal with at times. After she started on carnitor and CoQ10, there was a great deal of improvement. dawnanich wrote: >RH, thanks for the suggestion and concern. Guest guest
same here with my 11 year old son. He rarely has anger fits anymore except when he forgets his Carniqgel for a few days. Then if you oversleep and wake him up 15 minutes late he has a fit and cannot get up or dressed or anything. This 15 minutes late is 6:15 am and he does not have to leave for school till 7:30 am but his tv show starts at 6 am. He has had mostly good days these last few months. Guest guest
Make sure to get your doctors guidance on it. I think the vitamins are a better treatment if they work but you best take her off gradually and with a doctors guidance. I can tell you that Dr Tick suggested way back in 1997 when I brought to an appointment that he had behavioral problems and should be tested for MELAS. At that time we resisted because of the implications on life insurance. But, we should have started him on the vitamins long before last year and he may not have had the migraine episode for 3 months when he was in 1st grade or the constipation issues two years ago where he was even vomiting from it and in so much pain all the time. Good luck Janet Re: Re: c;othing issue and SI problems! > > > > > > > When my daughter was younger and not yet on the mito cocktail, > she would > > > have behavior and attention issues that were difficult for both > her > > > teachers and family to deal with at times.
