Guest guest
, You could still do this as you would take it off at night. Alice Currently I sleep through things that are bothersome to my husband because I sleep on my good ear and don't hear it. Also if I don't (want to listen to him) I can roll over on my good ear and sorry honey I didn't hear you! lol! susan
Guest guest
Yes, Most insurances pay for the BAHA much like the CI. The doctor's office that does the procedure normally has all the information on the insurance coverage. Alice Severe Hearing Loss Option Other than a CI The other day, I sent a link to the BAHA Hearing System. It is a bonew anchored hearing aid that is producing some very interesting results. On Saturday, I met two women who have gone thru the procedure. They are hearing so well..it was thrilling to watch. One of them was quite severely handicapped due to a previous stroke. A person would need to qualify by a simple test and you would know before surgery how this would work for you and know exactly how this sounds. If you do not fail bone conduction testing, you would qualify for the BAHA. The BAHA can be done with either local or general anesthesia and I know that this should create some interest for some of you. The outpatient procedure takes from 15 to 45 minutes total. That in itself is pretty amazing. If you didn't look at the system before go to http://www.entific.com and take a look at it for yourself. Here in Albuquerque, there are two doctors who are doing this procedure so I don't think it would be hard to find someone in your area who is doing it. I just wanted everyone who is dealing with the loss of hearing to know that there is even more hope if this system would work for you. Guest guest
Alice, Does insurance usually pay for the BAHA treatment? Betsy Severe Hearing Loss Option Other than a CI The other day, I sent a link to the BAHA Hearing System.
