Guest guest
Has anyone had luck getting insurance to cover CoQ? Husband to take 1200m a day and it's way costly. We have Atena and before I call them I thought I'd ask for advice on getting the coverage. Doc will write a letter too.
Guest guest
I get partial re-imbursement for my CoQ. Dr. Shoffner and I both sent the insurance company lots of information. I have a case manager which is now helping with such things, but didn't have her when I first got help. Dr. Shoffner said that the best thing to do was find someone with the same insurance (in your same state if possible) and approach them with the information that the insurance was paying for theirs, so why not you. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 22 Apr 2004 23:19:16 -0000 > To: > Subject: Insurance CoQ > > Has anyone had luck getting insurance to cover CoQ? Guest guest
Hello, Yes, I have gotten TRICARE to pay for the Qgel under orphan drug coverage for myself. My trouble is getting the doctor to print out and sign the letter he wrote back in November! I have been calling his office twice a week. I will need to take a day off work and drive the two hours down there. Anyway, the first Tishcon brand Qgel I sent in got denied. I then appealed and got it covered under orphan drug status. The next few times it was still sent back denied so I had to appeal. This last time all I did was write on the bottom of the receipt from epic4health.com to please reimburse under orphan drug status and they reimbursed it at 80%. I think others have had it covered under dural goods or such. I would just send in a receipt asking them to cover it under orphan drug. I had sent in a request to have it covered first and they sent the request back saying I needed to have a receipt for a purchase. If you need more info please email me at jsample@...
