Yes, I know, Mike - that's why I said I know it's wrong on my part! Also,

some of the immigrants the USA has are brilliant, and what would the USA be if

it weren't for immigrants?!?!? I don't think we WOULD be! LOL! It's just

that when I hear stories like that I tend to get excited on the 'far' end or

something. Here in Nebraska we have lots of people from Mexico that work in the

processing plants, and they don't even attempt to learn the language, as I

think it's an excuse for some of their bad behavior - BUT, there are just as

many

GOOD people as well. I know if I ever went overseas or to Mexico, I'd be the

one dead in the water, because I don't know any other language at all - I

never took any. I admire so much, the people that can speak 5 or 6 languages

fluently. They must have a larger brain than I do! LOL!

,

I get very upset when I read that people have almost been hurt by a drunk

driver, and when they DO get hurt, or more often, killed, I just want to shoot

someone. In my mind, anyone who drives drunk should have their drivers license

taken away permanently, or until they can prove they've been sober for a year.

I know this is wrong of me, but I also feel that if you live in this country,

you should learn this language and be able to communicate in it!

I'm so thankful they weren't hurt and that the car is no big deal, but

whenever I've had an accident (and I've had many, unfortunately) it always ENDS

up

being a big deal due to the inconvenience of getting the car fixed and getting

places, etc.

Let the girls know that hopefully, it can only get better! Anyway that's

what I'LL pray for! :)

I couldn't agree more except for one thing. All too often the

really bad accidents are caused by the multiple offenders - the ones

who have already had their licenses pulled and are driving without

either a license or insurance.

The only way this is ever going to change in this country is for

this country to start doing what they have been doing in Europe for

years. You drive drunk in Europe and you are facing some serious

criminal penalties. If you cause an accident, and particularly if

you kill or seriously injure someone in that accident, you won't be

driving for a long, long time. You won't, because you will be

staring through steel bars in your jail cell.

I do, however, take exception with your narrow minded attitiude of

feeling that if someone lives in this country they should learn the

language and be able to communicate in it. Don't get me wrong - I

think it is a great idea, but have you accidently tuned in MTV or

one of the other " younger set " music channels lately? What do you

want to do - deport everyone under 18?
