Alice Subject: Web Cast Series on Service Animals & the ADA Please join The Disability Law Resource Project (DLRP) at ILRU for Two Webcasts on Service Animals & the ADA. On Wednesday, April 14, 2004, the topic will be: Service Animals and the Law: Which Animals do the ADA & State Law Recognize? On Wednesday, May 12, 2004, the topic will be: Service Animals in Housing and Transportation. Both Web casts will run from 3:00-4:30pm Eastern, 3:00 Eastern; 2:00 Central; 1:00 Mountain; 12:00 Pacific; 11:00 Alaska; 8:00 Hawaii. The first Web cast, on April 14, will address the definition of service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as some practical applications of the law. Discussion will center on what is and what is not legally considered a service animal and how some state laws may or may not extend coverage to animals beyond those in the federal definition of service animals. Discussion about service animals in housing and transportation will be reserved for the second Web cast in this series on Wednesday, May 12, 2004.
