Help! Mito Adult Family

Hi everyone. Have been out of touch with this my MITO family You all

for some weeks now. Have not been reading Digests either, so don't

really know how everone is? I will get to it soon.

I have a request. I will be walking (or I could say riding in a

wheelchair) for the Hospital I am seen at for MITO to help raise

funds for more staffing. The Floating Hospital for Children at

Boston New England Medical Center. The walk date is June 13th, 2004

a Sunday.

I decided to become a Team Capitan and wow am I over my head. I

don't know enough people to email to ask if they could either make a

donation to my TEAM or join my team and help me raise funds. I think

I am the only ADULT TEAM in the 6 mile walk around the Boston

Harbor. Guess my EGO got in the way and I wanted an ADULT TEAM to be

represented at the walk. SO, now I'm a bit stuck. Only have 2

members on my team. I have been working on this since January.

Have raised $550.00 and the TEAM GOAL is $5,000. OH, MY!!

I though I might just announce this to all of you in case some of you

may be able to help out. The funds are going to go directly to MY

DOCTOR to hire more staff. I am one of very few ADULTS that he see's

for MITO. He is a kids Doctor, however THE EXPERT ON THE EAST COAST.

So most of the people at the walk will be kids and their parents (WHO

ARE TEAM CAPITANS WITHOUT MITO AND ARE RAISING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS

ALREADY). I have mito and don't have the energy or resourses to seem

to be able to reach my TEAM GOAL.

My Doctor is Dr. Mark Korson and I have asked that the funds I raise

go directly to him. He needs staff badly. He does not even have a

nurse. And Korson is one of the top MITO Doctors on the EAST COAST.

He need help. Since I am one of his ADULT patients I wanted to help.

I am finding it to be very hard because I don't know many people.

I thought I could get a TEAM together to help me. It has not

happened yet. If you were to REGISTER to be on my team and help me

raise funds you could do that for free. I think the $25 fee to

Register is for the Walk T-Shirt. That Money also goes toward my

Fund Goal.

Anyway with my Mito and Stroke stuff...I am stuck.
