Sounds to me like your hubby is just now getting some idea of what Lupus can do to a person, and isn't liking the reality of it. So...he will go into denial in order to avoid facing it. Time to take him with you to your doctor's appointment, if you have a good, plain speaking rheumatologist who can explain things to him in simple language. You might check out 's webpage, where you will find some articles written specifically for explaining this disease to your family members. It really helped my family get a grip on things when they were having trouble believing what was happening to me. Other than that, you have to look out for YOU in order to be able to stay in the game as much as possible. He is just going to have to accept that, and start lending a hand where needed to make your life together easier on you both. And, you can quote me on that. I think you should really watch out for yourself. Talk to him some more, maybe convince him to go to an appointment with you and speak with the doctor so he knows you're not making this up. Maybe he thinks your just using excuses? It's not right, he shouldn't. Please do not let this depress you and I'm sure it can be extremely difficult for you. Even my hubby who is very understanding gets impatient with my being tired all the time. He usually then apologizes, but it hurts when he blames me for being tired and not being able to do something. MM is right, see if you can use 's advice on how to speak with him. I'm sorry I'm not giving you any good advice that would definitely solve your situation.
