Guest guest
I started getting the Qgel from swanson also about two years ago. But, I have not been getting mine from epic4health It is basically Tishcon's website. www.epic4health.com or Someone on this or another list alerted me to the fact that if you mention you have a mitochondrial disease they have special pricing. I do not know the pricing on all of it, but I take the qgel 30 mg and my son takes the carniqgel with the carnitor and q10 together. We pay $20 for a bottle of 30 mg qgel 100 count (each capsule equals about 90 mg supposedly) The carniqgel is $62 for 180 count bottle the regular price on their website is like $67 Anyway, I find this cheaper than swanson now. The cheapest I ever found it was a couple of years ago puritans pride sold the 15 mg on there buy 2 get 4 free sale. Now they do not sell the actual Qgel patented brand. Also, I have managed to get this paid for under orphan drug status by my insurance--still have to pay 25% but that is ok compared to 100%. To do this you have to have a diagnosis or at least have your doctor write up a letter outlining your symptoms and how this is a standard treatment for this disease by doctors across the country. I was denied back in 2001 for coQ10--not Qgel because it is a supplement--even if it was written by a doctor and medically necessary it would not be covered. They do cover carnitor and I only need to pay $9 per month. My son will not take the carnitor in the cherry liquid or the tablets so that is why he takes the carniqgel. Have not gotten that covered for him yet--waiting for a letter from his doctor. That is another story and need to go bug him again. Haven't called there in a week-- Janet Sample in Wisconsin Janet Sample
