Guest guest
Excellent points, Joyce. It ruffles my feathers to have hypermobility be used as an entertainment piece. I for one, never dreamed I would have all these things happen to me. But to see it portrayed for entertainment, is like a slap in the face. One commercial in particular was so bad. To think about it gets me riled up. It's was in an anti-smoking ad taking place in a circus atmosphere. Toward the end there's a person(s) walking on their hands with their legs crossed behind their head. (I think this has been mentioned on here before) This was supposed to be funny? I'd like to have some of the TV hosts and ad men switch places with us. Perhaps then they will experience how funny we think it is. CindyH Wisc. ~ From: Joyce Norris I actually posted a message. I think it makes the point. I cringe when I see people less severely affected than I am with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (which I assume this contortionist fellow has) presented as if items of amusement.
