Guest guest
I was kept hypothyroid so damn long that I am practically bald on top of my head. It is so hard to fix your hair when there isn't much to fix. I have to put gel in my hair because it is so thin and the gel makes it thick. It is not falling out like it was before. I KEEP CHECKING FOR NEW HAIR GROWTH BUT THERE ISN'T ANY. EEEEEK!!! Does anyone have this problem? I think a wig would be a good thing to have right now. Guest guest
> I buy & use wigs & hairpieces from a Young's catalog all the time now for the past few years while waiting for my dark brown very short hair to grow out & go all grey. I love them. > > Tho I still have a full head of hair but it's rather fine, not thin tho. I have bunches of very fine straight hair. I'm getting to the point now where I don't need the wigs or hair pieces much anymore tho because my hair's grown out way longer now & all gone as naturally grey as it going to get for while. > > I guess I'm lucky I still have a full head of hair & haven't lost any that I know of. Just body hair & eyebrows/ eyelashes gone mostly. > Caroline I will just have to get me a a Young catalog. I don't know sometimes I wonder if it is not from taking that darn radioactive iodine. Oh well guess I will never know. Yeah I am 51 and have gray streaks. LOL LOL > I am depressed about so much hair loss??? > > I was kept hypothyroid so damn long that I am practically bald on > top of my head. Guest guest
Well, I wouldn't say I'm " back to normal. " lol I'm 43 and have peri symptoms, too, so I have many moments where I'm " too hot. " I'm basically on a temp roller coaster, so it's nearly impossible for me to know if my meds are too much, or too little. But symptoms are coming back as well: muscle and joint aches.... to name a couple, and I wonder if I should increase, or decrease the meds. The hair loss problem (for me) could very well stem from not having enough, or having too much thyroid hormone. > In a message dated 11/29/2004 10:51:30 AM Eastern Standard Time, > betty_flager@y... writes: > > > Whooooa!!!
