Guest guest
I read the post about a carbo snack consisting of rice, cornstarch, and juice and was wondering if the rice, since it is a binder would complicate dysmotility. I can't remember much from nutrition class but raisins would help create energy plus help motility. A BRAT(bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) diet is given when persons have diarrhea because it will slow things down. Someone else mentioned OJ and if you got the pulp it would help also with slow digestion and increase motility. I got the Women's Day magazine and was livid when I read the article on Mito, that a doctor told a child his symptoms were in his head. How is that for setting the child up for lifetime of failure, I'm so weak I can't get out of bed but since it is in my head I must be crazy! I hope once they had a positive diagnosis the child went back and called the doctor a jerk! Debra
