Guest guest Posted January 19, 2004 Report Share Posted January 19, 2004 hello all; i have been reading, only, for about a year. it looks like my fibroids are large, now, that i will need a hysterectomy. they don't really hurt, but, i do feel " pressure " in my lower abdominal area. i am 47 years old, and, both of my sisters have had hysterctomies for fibroids. i am uneasy about surgery, but, i think after all the heavy bleeding and frequent urination, and, now, lower abdominal pressure, it is probably time. i live in Seattle, and, i live alone. i DO have family in the area, but, i wouldn't mind getting connected with anyone, in this area, who, maybe, we could support each other? anyway, this is my first post, thanks for any help, ideas, etc. Patty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have you looked into UAE or Myomectomy for treatment of your fibroids instead of hysterectomy?
