Guest guest
Joanne, My prayers are with Elaine and the rest of your family. It is so difficult having an ill child. A girl I work with has a daughter with the same problem as Elaine. Please know that there are many people praying for all of you, especially Elaine. Guest guest
I wanted to ask everyone to please pray for my granddaughter. Her name is Elaine, she is almost 3 and she has hypoplastic right heart. That means she was born with only half of a functioning heart. You can read about her and see her picture at http://www.tchin.org/portraits/elaine-1.htm The past few months she has been in a decline. They kept thinking she had a virus, but she went into Primary Childrens to check it out this morning and they are putting her right into intensive care so they can find out what is going on. Hopefully she isn't in heart failure. She has been through so much in her short life, I hate to see her go through more. Please keep her in your prayers. I just hope that I am up to what is ahead. I am just coming out of a crash myself. Joanne
Guest guest
Joanne, I'm sorry to hear about your granddaughter. I'll definately keep you both in my prayers. Make sure you don't wear yourself out either ! It doesn't help to have two sick people. Get good rest and make sure you have adequate nutrition. I'd hate to see you end up in the hospital. Hugs to you and your family. bug

Guest guest
Joanne, Special prayers are going out for your beautiful granddaughter Elaine. The website was especially touching. It seems we have more in common than Mito. I have a granddaughter who is now 9 who was born in Provo, Utah. She was born with co-ark of the aorta and was also life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital. She was in very critical condition for many days and " crashed " about 15 minutes after I arrived at the hospital after driving there from the North East. They pulled her thru this and many other critical problems. I think her first 5 years were the most difficult. Last summer she had a very difficult and life threatening surgery which had to be done to save her life. She did so well that today, they now tell the family that she has a normal heart for the first time of her life. This means she probably won't have to exist with an oxygen canister following her. We are elated. I wish the very same for Elaine. I also have another granddaughter with mitral valve prolapse and other heart issues. This granddaughter has been diagnosed with Mito but the one with the aorta difficulties has not. Alice > I wanted to ask everyone to please pray for my granddaughter.
