Guest guest
I would suggest also that you get a copy of your medical records to keep with you--all of them. I still need to get all of mine from Dr Tick but got some when we were there in November. I was looking for a copy of my mothers hospital records from 1988 that I know were in my sisters file from 1996. Dr Tick was finally able to locate my sisters file and I got some of her info but it had gotten caught in a flood at his old office in Thiensville and a lot of the stuff was unreadable. He is requesting the stuff from Froedert again but some of the stuff his lab did cannot be redone. He had said that he hopes his new space will be ready soon. Also, my son's lactic acid tests from 1997 were in my file. When we first went back to him in the fall of 2002 with his constipation problems and questioned the melas he said that never had had a lactic acid test. I reminded him that they did one on him and me at the Ozaukee hospital in 1997 when I first had my blood drawn for the melas test. Anyway, I now have most of my records but if you get copies right away it really helps. Sometimes some of the offices charge a small photocopying fee but then you have them.
