Guest guest
A few more notes re: gyno-ease and it's herbal formula. In addition to analgesic qualities, several of the herbs identified can/possibly do act as SSRIs. Antidepressants. Further, there has been some research on hoelen (albeit very little research on simply hoelen NOT in combination with a multitude of other herbs) and it does seem to have both sedative and diuretic qualities. In addition, it may - in combination with other herbs???? -- cause an increase in progesterone production. Because of the multitude of concerns encountered while reading about these herbs, it would most likely not be wise to attempt to self-treat with this remedy at all. Your full medical history and all medications (OTC-self adminstered or prescribed) should be shared with an appropriately licensed practitioner and one should never attempt to self-treat. On a final note (please, anyone with more accurate or fully detailed info on this remedy is welcome to step in here), the plant ingredients used in this remedy (and many other Asian herbal remedies) have been found to contain disturbing levels of toxic insecticides. Insecticides that may well not be approved for U.S. use but indeed are still used in other countries. I found one report on this which I found quite troubling -- as it would seem that endocrine-disrupting insecticides employed to grow plants which are then used to treat endocrine-disruptive-related diseases seems a true catch-22. Seems entirely ironic to me....
