I agree with getting a new doctor. I am 39 with 10x11cm fibroids and

I am having them out in two weeks. I also hope to have kids

afterward. You are young. I am surprized you are put on meds. Many

women do have children with fibroids. I think you should have

children when you are ready. If you are ready and having problems

having kids than consider alternatives (like having the fibroids

removed and trying again).

Thank you for responding . The time period she gave me also

concerned me as well because I don't have many of the uncomfortable

symptoms as others. I've always had a heavy period as a child. So, I

started out being anemic before the fibroids came about. Losing much

blood, and taking iron pills while being active in sports did not

help the anemia so I went on the bc pill which finally allowed me to

have a normal blood count.

Being on Depro...the only symptoms I'm having right now are the

cramping, sharp stabbing pains, and tenderness around and on my navel

(i have an outtie). I will take your advice and try to find a second

opinion.

Thank you!

Shaunah :)

Hi Myrtle,

I was around your age when i realized i had fibroids..i waited but then my

period became to much to manage..I would suggest a MYo for you, which h i did as

well..I have no kids as well and just turned 30 in Dec 2003, I had my Myo on

Sept 2003, it has been great i had 2 fibroids removed and I'm glad i did..We can

definitely have children after the surgery, it may take time as everything in

life does, please do not get discouraged..what ever you do , do not wait it it

out..these buggers grow..and your young..You have many decisions to face and I'm

here for you..

Holla @ my eml addy nasmuchluv2003@...,

Good luck
