Guest guest
Sorry to rain on your knitted uterus, so to speak, but I've seen at least one real-life application for such a thing (still cause of great amusement). The doula who taught our childbirth preparation class used a knitted uterus with a doll inside to model cervical dilation and birth of baby. It was pretty goofy, but knitted uteri are apparently tools of the trade. --Liz > In the process of looking at free knitting patterns on the web – I ran into this free knitting pattern for a UTERUS. Guest guest
Call me crazy but what a wonderful idea!!! When I was pregnant and in bed most of the time I used all sorts of methods to focus on my baby and my strong uterus that was going to carry her to term! I painted pictures, drew, wrote. Never thought of knitting! I believe in the mind body connection - I could've knitted the womb I wished I had! I may knit one anyway to help me focus on being fertile again (not that my 7 month old gives me much time) and who knows maybe I'll knit my fibroids and pull them out myself . I just may go pick out my wool tomorrow - I'll send a picture of it when I'm done, though that will probably be in a couple of years I'm a little slow finishing projects. But I enjoy knitting and putting loving thoughts with every stitch to the person its for and my knit uterus will be for my next baby! Thanks for posting such an unique idea!
