Guest guest
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, Jean!!! I love your sarcastic humor, and I'm definitely with ya on this one, hehe. Good that you didn't tell her, frankly, as her attitude said that she was going to try to shut someone down for good. I frankly think that's what happened with our MyRxForLess site, even though there was much publicity about the Viagra thing. They just don't get it, do they? I take my placebo 5 times a day, right now, anyway, and it is in my head that I can now get up and walk, get out of bed, and not walk around in a brain fog (for the last 4 yrs). I am now on Naturethroid 135 mgs a day. No Such Thing as Generic > > Hi Everyone, > > It's been over six months since my last post. I babysit my grandson fulltime and have very little time to read and/or participate in ongoing discussions. But yesterday I broke down and went back to the doctor who diagnosed my hypothyroidism (over 7 years ago) to renew my prescription for high blood pressure. > > It had been quite a few years since she had seen me. She immediately asked me how my thyroid was doing and what dosage of Levoxyl (sp?) I was taking. I told her I wasn't taking levoxyl anymore. She asked me what I was taking and I told her generic armour thyroid, to which she responded (face red as a beet) " THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GENERIC ARMOUR!!!!!!! " Ooooookay, if you say so. Then she asked me, just where are you getting it? I looked back at her and said, " I'm getting it. " Then she asked me if it was through dietary supplements. > And I said Yes (I know, I'm a coward). She even asked me if I was grinding it myself. Anyone out there make their own thyroid med? So now she wants me to go to a naturopathic (sp?) doctor, one who will work with an MD. She referred me to a clinic nearby that has a naturopathic doctor. My thing is, I've already been to two of them, and they were every bit as bad as the MDs I quit going to, worse in fact, they assured me they would prescribe armour for me and then refused to do so. So, guess I could go ahead and go to them and just use them for my labwork. > > Interesting, I've been using generic armour for over six months and didn't have a clue to its nonexistence. Which makes all the sense in the world, in light of the fact my symptoms are in my head, perhaps the generic armour is too. > > Well, here's to a vivid imagination, oh, placebo anyone? > > Jean
