Kerry something else to remember about blood pressure meds. Your body comes to

depend on them. Stopping them suddenly could be why it went so high. Many blood

pressure meds have diuretic properties and when suddenly stopped your body can

fill with fluids and cause a big jump up in the blood pressure. When I got off

mine I have been on Armour for about 2 years (4.5 grains) and my blood pressure

had come down, WAY down to low, then I tapered off them very slowly. I tapered

the Hydrochlorothiazide off first then after about 4 months off that when my

blood pressure remained stable, I tapered off the Atenolol. I still monitor my

blood pressure and a couple times it has tried to go back up, but then stopped

before it got high enough for me to run for more meds. But It will always bear

watching.
