Couldn't even remember to eat until my husband called home at lunchtime and asked me. Now, after Armour (and a few months of adrenal support) I actually have a growling stomach in the morning. It's been pretty strange to me to feel actual hunger pains after so many years of not having them. cindi
Guest guest
No, a pill does not have to be scored in order to split it or pulverize it even. Some pills are scored for convenience, but some companies just don't bother scoring certain drugs. Pills not meant to be split are long acting pills, where the medication is done in " layers " within the pill. Those would be the ones with instructions not to do so, plus those ending in " XL " , " SL " (slow release), etc..........But it is ok to split a pill that doesn't have a score mark, if it doesn't have special instructions on why not to do so. For instance, you wouldn't want to split a 12 or 24 hr dose of Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, etc........Plus some BP meds shouldn't be, IF they are the long acting type.
