Hi Clis. It's not that the generic doesn't work--it appears that folks are saying they have to take MORE than they would if on name brand. I think it's always fabulous if you can find a doc who will prescribe Armour (or name brand natural thyroid) because getting it by prescription is always cheaper than OTC. Additionally, getting it by prescription means you can get Armour, and with Armour, you can take it sublingually. Nothing is running out, either.
