Guest guest
My father used to touch my cold skin and tell me that I'd died, I just hadn't laid down yet! LOL in Va. The oral temp is one degree (approximately) higher than axillary, ordinarily, but in our cases, they usually advise to take it axillary because of our disease. I think that when we're hypo, our skin temp is too much cooler than someone else's who's normal, sort of like the rigor mortis thing, but, of course, that's an exaggeration of the situation. I've compared my oral temp and my axillary temp hundreds of times, and every single time, my oral temp is only a half degree higher, no matter what the temp is. Both ways, I take it for 10 full minutes, and it's that way every single time. This must be a hypo thing with the skin temp under the arm. I can remember yrs ago when my oral temp really was a degree higher, so this is documented with me.
