Guest guest
hi- I'm new here, I'll give you a brief history and BEG for feedback/Info. I have been hypothyroid since '85,disabled by extreme fatigue/depression/numbness/freezing or sweating/ inability to sleep since 2001- diagnosed with Fibromyalgia because all tests negative. Have totally lost my life as I knew it,cannot find help. 2 mo. ago diagnosed with Hashimoto's autoimmune. My heart rate went to about 120 at rest( temp has been 96. most time even when sweating like crazy for no reason),also at this time heart palps. & not sleeping until about 8 am when I would fall over for 3-4 hrs. Dr. told me cut 200mg. of Levox.(I had been taking for yrs.)in half and take heart meds.- said I was having a " THYROID STORM " 2 weeks into the 1/2 levox. dose for 1st time in life I felt catatonic and instead of depression/rage I felt indifference about everything- spent hrs staring at the wall wiTHout moving, could not feel my legs most of the time, my arms were numb and frozen etc. My parents rushed me to an endo. who after looking at the tests faxed to him -decided there " was nothing to do and I didnt need to worry about anything, Hashimoto's is no big deal, either is hypo. " Take 137mcg.SYNTHROID and you'll be great see you in 3 months. " I asked how that was so different from 200 vs. 100.? No answer. I said I've been taking that since 1985 and never felt ok.Go somewhere else he said. I asked why this huge sudden change from hyper to catatonic he said " It isnt last week so how would I know what you were like then? " I felt humilated and raped, like I was making a big deal out of nothing. But if I find I never had fibro. and it has been thyroid that has taken my life away since 2001 and there may be some help, that I am not doomed to sit alone waiting to die because extreme exhaustion/brainfog has kept me from having friends/relationshiops/happiness etc. for 3 yrs. - should he and the other doctors I see really treat me like I am demanding for no reason? ( I demanded armour or for him to do tests on other glands/hormones). So I want to get Armor. Where can I get it without a script? What can I do to try to sleep? Already tried drugs (suddenly they dont work no matter what I try) I just get really high.Tried ST. s Wort/Passionflower/Valarian - it is as if suddenly in the past few months my sleep is a beast I can not kill.Start Mag & Melatonin and has helped but then hear Mel. is not good for Hash.? I have stopped the heart meds., my heart rate is now 60-80. thanks, clis

Guest guest
Well Clis, you are NOT alone. I made all sorts of loops through hell and back again before I discovered Armour, which absolutely turned my life around. Some of your symptoms, by the way, also sound like an overreacting adrenal gland due to an undertreated thyroid-- exactly what I had! Once you get your thyroid adequately treated, that will subside. And....amazingly stupid how docs will put us on anti-depressants, heart meds, the whole gamut---WHEN ALL WE EVER NEEDED WAS TO BE PUT ON AN ADEQUATE THYROID MED!! When you get in touch with , she will steer you towards OTC websites--most right now are offering Naturethroid--a perfectly fine natural dessciated thyroid. You can even start on the generics. Where do you live? Perhaps someone here also knows of a good doc there. When you can find a good doc, you can get Armour by prescription, and it's half the price of OTC if you can. If you can't find a good doc, folks here can help you self-medicate. Note that no one here is a doc and no one prescribes--but we do give self-educated opinions, and/or we give you our own experiences. Also, if you can get through that brain fog, there are good things to read in the FILES. Check it out. In this journey, you might also want to consider getting your Ferritin tested, which can be quite low in many folks here..plus other areas that folks will mention to you along the way, which can include adrenals, DHEA and others. Hang in there Clis. We've been there. Natural thyroid works...along with tweaking other issues.
