Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been on my Armour for about a month now (2 grains) and I've noticed that my mouth gets very dry. I've never been one to drink a lot of water (I really don't like water), but I also never felt thirsty. Now I feel thirsty and wonder if it has something to do with the thyroid med. Any ideas? Guest guest
Tigger that is so strange that you don't like water! Neither do I!!! It tastes bitter to me. I have tried filtered, and many kinds of bottled waters but none that I like to drink so I don;t drink much either. I do get quite thirsty but have no idea if the thyroid meds cause it, maybe the accelerated metabolism just needs more water, I know I sweat more than I used to so maybe that's it. I drink milk or coffee most the time! I know bad... but when I can;t gag a glass of water down, fluid is still important.. more important than avoiding caffeine or " bad " things in milk. I have always been a milk drinker, can't stand tea, makes me ill. I also seldom as in one maybe every six months or so, drink sodas. I do try to drink juices but they are too acid for me many times so I don't drink them much either. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
Hi Tigger. Armour has diuretic results, ESPECIALLY when you first start on it, as you have. You are probably peeing more and don't realize it--thus the thirst. Time to drink up, even if it's tea or such. (I don't like water either. Decaf tea is my saviour. Guest guest
I have been drinking a half gallon or more of water every day since being on Armour. I tried to drink a lot of water before on the Synthroid but never could drink enough. Now I'm drinking it like there's no tomorrow....and staying close to all the bathrooms whereever I go.
