I think the Ferritin is okay. yea, that range is crazy. some ranges start at 30. I think it's recommended to be at least 70. Cindi

" That answer is WAY more important than your blood tests results. However if I had to interpret these results I would conclude your Free T4 is low. I know that Armour people usually have higher T3 from the Armour formulation. Is there any other reason why T3 gets higher? R.
Guest guest
>>, can you remind me why I shouldn't be worried that my T3 and T3R is so high.<< Because T3 is a very transient hormone. As we take it in pills and not in steady constant small doses like our own thyroids would put out, it can have spikes & ebbs. The RT3 I would be more concerned about as that happens when your body does not convert well. As your T3 is also high that is a great sign that you are either returning to normal converting or taking enough replacement T3 to compensate. Here is a website that explains alot about reverse T3 http://www.meridianvalleylab.com/steroid_thyroid.html *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
This is just a guess on my part here, but I think the high T3 could be from adrenal fatigue or something other going on with your health that is interfering with the body's ability to use T3. This is causing it to build up in the blood. I think it is a bit higher than it should be with respect to the T4 for it to be explained by the fact that the normal Armour ratio is having a bit higher T3 than T4. If you are on less than 3 grains, then it is definitely something interfering with the body's ability to use T3. This is just a guess, but I think that you have some adrenal fatigue. I think that is the most likely thing to make T3 out of the range, while T4 seems to be in the spot of the slightly undermedicated. Low cortisol, protien levels , selinium, chromium, calorie intake and other issues can prevent cells from being able to take up and/or use T3 and cells will become resistant and it will build up in the blood. If you are feeling a bit stressed, not sleeping so good, feel bad in the mornings and just generally not handling things all that well, then I would suspect a health issue like low adrenal function making the T3 that high. Guest guest
I'm not but, yes, especially if you have antibodies messing around with your test results. Second reason is that when the body is still underdosed, it will busily start converting as much as possible of T4 to T3, to try to desperately make up the difference. This is sometimes why, when not at your optimal level, why your T3 will be much higher than the T4. Guest guest
Yep, that's what my next to last testing looked like on Armour, or similar. Then, next testing, suddenly the Free T4 is knocked back down to a .8 and Free T3 is suddenly back at barely midrange. I was on 90 mgs when the first test was done, and then, surprise, I was on 120 mgs when the second set was done! Go figure. The adrenals are finally probably beginning to build back up (my best guess, after a slow upward climb on Armour for the last yr), so there is probably more cortisol to utilize the Armour that I am putting in there, so, therefore, we're now getting a much more accurate reading on what may be needed eventually. Slowly but surely, step by step, inch by inch, lol! These tests are finally showing just what kind of underdosed I actually am.
