Guest guest
First off, let me say I HATE DOCTORs!!! Now I feel much better. > Tell us--what was the decent dose of Armour that got up to in the > Summer? I was taking 2 1/4 grains this summer, and felt pretty good. Of course I was comparing to how I felt in March when I was taking 3 naps a day and grunting at my kids when they came home from camp. For some reason, maybe because I read that often the thyroid dose has to be increased as the weather gets colder and I was hyper about getting depressed I increased gradually to 2 3/4, but I think I did it too soon, or was having non-thyroid problems like reacting to mold. Then I had to decrease in September to 2 1/4, felt good for a month and backed it down again t 2 grains when I started having really bad joint pain and stiffness but I should have raised it. I am now undecided between 2 1/2 and 2 3/4. My face gets yellow and organge at 2 1/2, my joint and nerve pains diminish at 2 3/4, but I seem to be having more trouble sleeping on 2 3/4. UGH! I finally got my recent blood tests taken last week: Free T3 5.2 range 2.3-4.2 Total T3R 218 range 80-180 Free T4 1.13 range .89-1.76 TSH .005 range .350-5.50 Ferritin 73.2 range 10-291(come on! this is a range???) Are > you saying that you are NOT on adrenal support like Cortef, and are > instead doing the salted water, using magnesium-pantothenic acid-b > vitamins and C?? I am very interesting in hearing how that goes. > Janie I am still in the experimental stage with 's program. Seems I don't need a lot of salted water, but some seems to help. And he recommends taking 1000mg vitamin C, 200mg. magnesium (he says citrate is the cheapest), and 500mg pantothenic acid around 2pm every day with a small protein-fat-carbo snack to help avoid the 3- 4pm (or in my case 3-5or6pm) low that goes along with low adrenal. This had definitely worked for me in the week I have been trying it. R.
Guest guest
I must have low adrenal function then because I die around 3-4 pm & have to go lie down & sleep for a few hours. If I don't, I'm like a zombie & can't even talk coherently. But even if I took stuff that kept me up & awake my back/spine would still be killing me so I'd have to lie down to rest that. So might as well just sleep through that late afternoon slump. I'd rather not be awake anyway being as lonely & in as much chronic pain with such lack of incentive as I am. I have tried several kinds of adrenal support over the last 2 years and had horrible BAD results from it. But when I divided my thyroid dosage up to MORE doses, like every 5 hours I am awake, taking some of my daily dose, it has stopped for the most part. I find now I am more tired on my days off than the days I work! Weird as my work is quite physical. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes?
